A LARGE CHINOISERIE PATTERN BRACKET CLOCK Smith & Sons, London, 19th century - the case probably late 18th century 64 x 34 x 22 cm Finely painted, red lacquered wooden display case with bronze applications. Brass front with applied brass appliqués, silver-plated dial with Roman numerals, Arabic minutes, date and decorated iron hands. Solid, engraved verge escapement with carillon and quarter-hour striking on bell, power transmission via gut strings and snails. Movement in good condition. Rest, supplemented.
