A BURMESE PAINTED WOOD FIGURE OF AN OLD MAN, 19TH CENTURY Burma. Carved as an emaciated old man standing atop a square base, dressed in a short sampot, and holding prayer’s beads in his left hand, the face with open mouth revealing a set of teeth, caved in cheeks and eyes, and short hair. Condition: Good condition with some wear, natural age cracks, small touch-ups to the pigments, signs of weathering, and worm holes. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Weight: 15.2 kg Dimensions: Height 115.5 cm
