A BRONZE MEDICINE VESSEL AND COVER, KHMER STYLE Cambodia or Thailand, 19th century or earlier. Finely cast, the smooth vessel supported on a flaring foot rising to a short body with a straight rim. The domed cover decorated with a bud finial. Condition: Very good condition with wear, casting flaws, signs of weathering and erosion, encrustations, small scratches, and light nicks. The vessel is covered in a naturally grown patina with vibrant malachite encrustations. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
