AN OVAL BRONZE ‘CHILONG’ CENSER, YUAN TO MING DYNASTY China, 14th-16th century. Of oval form, raised on four ruyi feet, the gently curving sides rising to a flattened everted rim, the handles in the form of two stylized chilong applied to the shoulders. The bronze with a smooth naturally grown patina with areas of calcification. Provenance: From a private collection in Vienna, Austria. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and casting irregularities. Few nicks, light scratches, and minor dents.
