† A BRONZE ELLIPTICAL BOWL, HE, HAN DYNASTY China, Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). Of oval form, the rounded sides supported on a flat base and rising to a slightly everted rim. Each of the long sides is cast with a ring handle. Condition: Good condition, commensurate with age. Extensive wear, signs of weathering and erosion, casting flaws, small dents, losses, and corrosion. The bronze covered with a fine, naturally grown patina with malachite encrustations. Provenance: From the estate of William Rogers, Australia.
