Prussia, Franco-Prussian War 1870-1871. Troop cuirassier helmet, model 1867. Lobster-tail helmet with eleven brass rivets, "staircase" visor, all with a slight gray patina. The perimeter of the bomb is edged with a brass snap ring. Retractable conical steel tip resting on an oval brass base, attached to the bomb with four square brass nuts and bolts. Model eagle plate attached to the bomb with 2 square brass screws and nuts and steel washers (later washers). Chinstraps with fifteen curved, leather-lined scales and movable brass rosettes held to the bomb with slotted, rounded-head iron screws and a non-through iron nut. Complete with leather fastening system and pin buckle for fastening together. Metal troop cockade embossed in the colors of Prussia, black and white, 67 mm in diameter, patterned. Complete with brown leather inner cap with 8 wolf teeth. Size 58 stamped on the right side. (Wear and tear, helmet restored in the past, missing a visor fastening rivet on the bomb on the left side, a brass visor fastening rivet replaced in the past by a flat copper rivet, missing a spike base fastening screw on the bomb, a loose plate reverse fastening screw, the white of the cockade repainted in the past, some old repaints on the green of the inner visor shape. Fairly good condition.)

Rare Prussian Cuirassier troop helmet model 1852/67, hemispherical steel bomb with embossed rear reinforcement ring. Lobster-tail nape with brass snap ring and 11 rivets. The two-degree visor is also edged with the same visor ring, with a fine tip base held in place by four rivets (one missing). Brass mantelpiece with two holes, steel tip, brass Prussian heraldic eagle, curved scale chinstrap (15 scales) on leather settee, cylindrical chinstrap rosette, the right-hand rosette holds a serrated Prussian cockade. Bomb with slight rust foam. Black leather-covered nape, green-painted visor, black-painted bomb interior. Missing cap. Easily restorable helmet, quite rare. Used during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871. Condition 2
