German States Saxony Helmet for Officers in the Guards Horsemen Regiment 1910 Dresden, the helmet skull of particularly light tombac gilding, complete with all fittings. Large silver-plated helmet star with gilded coat of arms, domed gilded chinscales on cloverleaves and screws, both cockades. Version with inserted high fluted service spike. Brown sweat leather interior with light-coloured silk lining, damaged. The front peak lined with dark green leather, the neck peak lined with light green velvet. Size 56, worn. The helmet for the Saxon heavy cavalry was modelled on the Prussian cuirassier helmets and introduced in 1876. The same helmet was also worn by the Saxon Carabinier Regiment (2nd Heavy Regiment).; Condition-II (HW4)

Republican Guard mounted troop helmet, model 1876. Steel bomb with nickel-plating residue, consisting of bomb, visor and helmet cover. The whole is encircled by a brass snap ring. Embossed brass crest with Gorgon head, topped by a black horsehair marmoset and mane, with side plume holder. Embossed brass headband with the coat of arms and motto of the city of Paris. Cut-out brass, tortoiseshell-lined leather troop chinstraps. The bomb is numbered on the back "58 51? Inner troop cap in wolf-tooth leather. France, Third Republic period. H. 40 cm L. : 30 cm
