A CARVED AND MOLDED LONGQUAN CELADON ‘LOTUS’ PORCELAIN JAR, YUAN TO MING DYNASTY A CARVED AND MOLDED LONGQUAN CELADON ‘LOTUS’ PORCELAIN JAR, YUAN TO MING DYNASTY China, 14th to 15th century. The heavily potted jar is carved with a wide band of lotus scroll above a band of upright petals, covered inside and out with a glaze of celadon color that also covers the inside of the thick foot. Provenance: From a good European collection. Condition: Good condition with some wear, light surface scratches, few minor chips, firing flaws including uneven glazing and dark spots, and a hairline crack across one side and base with minor associated losses as well as a smaller hairline to the upper rim.
