Fine edition at 221 copies, with 33 original etchings by Spanish surrealist painter Oscar DOMINGUEZ (1906-1957), including one on the cover, one in color on the frontispiece, and the others framed on each page of the text. The text, as well as the justification, title and printer's proof, have been reproduced in facsimile in Éluard's handwriting. One of 220 copies on Lana vellum, this being one of 185 issued without a sequel (no. 153), very well preserved despite some wear to the slipcase.
