From the estate of Captain Ralph Kerr CBE RN (1891-1941), HMS Hood in Valetta Harbour, unsigned watercolour, 29 cm x 46 cm framed and glazed. Captain Kerr was commander of HMS Hood, and was killed at the battle of Denmark Strait with all but three of his crew on 24th May 1941, together with a boxed commemorative brass ashtray, made 'from the brass treads' of HMS Hood's spare gangway, and an original 'HMS Hood' booklet.
