The map, printed mainly for use and consumption of the military, is striking for its accuracy in the hydrographic and woodland indications, as well as the topography of the small settlements in the illustrated region. Beautiful and rare geographical map depicting the territory of the Duchy of Luxembourg and the Belgian territory including the Marquisate of Franchimont, Lordship of Ochen (Liège), Principality of Durbuy, Principality of Bastogne, Lordship of Clervaux, Lordship of Tomen, Abbey of Stablo, etc. The map, printed mainly for use and consumption of the military, is striking for its accuracy in the hydrographic and woodland indications, as well as the topography of the small settlements in the illustrated region. Eugène-Henri Fricx (1644-1730) was a printer, bookseller and engraver from Brussels. He was active from 1670 until his death, printing numerous history books and military maps of Belgium.
