Pp8, marg. ann. in old hand). Contemp. sheep, gilt-orn. and titled spine with raised bands, red edges (joints split, corners sl. bumped). Popular medical aphorisms (1st 1709) of the famous Leiden professor Boerhaave (1668-1738). It deals i.a. with pathology and therapy.
