LENGLET, Pierre Carmina ad illustrissimum Senatus principem. Paris Fr. Le Cointe 1676 8vo: 131-[1 bl.] pp. (some marg. soiling). Contemp. richly gold-tooled calf, covers with a semé of fleurs-de-lys within ornamental frames and a large central laurel with initials "PS", spine with raised bands, gilt sides (edges and corners rubbed). Good copy. Rare volume with Latin verses by Pierre Lenglet (d. 1707). Ref. USTC 6092729. - Not in Oberlé. Prov. Collège Du Plessis (Paris) prize binding with its cypher "PS" on the covers and with the prize awarded 27 July 1730 to "Georgius de Remssey". - Old name on title.
