First and only edition of this dictionary of (largely) contemporary painters, by the Lier poet C. de Bie (1627-1711), son of the painter Adriaan de Bie, and a magistrate and part-time writer and poet. Engr. ill.:title by C. Meyssens after A. van Diepenbeeck, 95 full-pageportraits and 1 id. allegoricalpl.
