The satyric quintessence of the 20th century. Composed of poems by some of the finest minds of the time, which will not appear in their works: Charles Baudelaire, Arthur Rimbaud [...] Jean Cocteau, Raymond Radiguet, Guillaume Apollinaire,Pascal Pia, etc., etc., etc. S.l. s.n. (1926) 2 volumes in 1 vol. in-8°. Burgundy half-chagrin, burgundy imitation leather boards, ribbed spine, covers on boards (spine faded with minor rubbing, inner jaws partly split on upper board). Good untrimmed copy. Illustrated with 2 unsigned free fronts attributed to Galanis. Edition of 150 copies on strong vellum not sold (no. 70). Many of these erotic poems are pastiches by Pascal Pia, who signs some of the pieces with his own name. In addition to Pia, the real authors of this compilation include F. Fleuret and L. Perceau under his pseudonym Alexandre de Vérineau. According to Pia, this "hasty compilation" was made by André Malraux on his return from Indochina, but he does not specify the very large part he himself took in it. ref. Pia 1217. - Dutel 2297.
