Large margins. One of two first editions, the other occupying 194 pp. This novel, whose author remains unknown, recounts the exploits of a young man, well endowed by Mother Nature, who endeavors to use his charms to the great delight of the "more amiable than sensitive women" to whom the work is dedicated. The preliminary discourse refers to Diderot and D'Alembert, the Encyclopédie and various authors from the time of Louis XV, making it impossible for it to have been published at the date indicated on the title.
