(rubbed, corners worn). One of many editions (orig.: 1775) of this successful novel, with 2 titles-front. (no printed title), without proper title for the 2nd and 4th parts, with on verso of the 1st frontispiece a butterfly laminated with the notice "Voici, mon très-cher ouvrage, tout ce qui t'arrivera: tu ne vaut rien, c'est dommage; n'importe, on t'achetera [...]".
