Post-production midnight blue half-chagrin with corners, spine decorated with gilt fillets throughout and gilt title framed by false nerves, t. gilt, cover boards cons. (some minor rubbing). Private" edition reserved for subscribers, reproducing the one published by Hirsch in 1905 and illustrated with the same 9 free plates, including 1 front, after Paul Avril. Edition of 320 copies, one of 300 on Annam vellum (2nd paper, no. 61). Title in black and red adorned with a fleuron with two storks in red, text and plates framed with a triple ornamented red fillet.
