On ff. in cream paper covers printed in red and publisher's pink paper slipcase (cover slightly browned, slipcase slightly defr.). Published at the expense of an amateur and reserved for his friends. The 1897 date is fanciful. Edition of 350 numbered copies on BFK de Rives, the only paper (no. 201). Ill. with 12 very free lithographs in color attributed to Édouard Chimot (1880-1959), including a double-page front in 2 states with the four heroines clothed and nude. Ref. Dutel 25242. - Pia 1450.
