Martin, entirely decorated with a semé de points dorés et mos. in old rose box, smooth spine titled in gilt, gilt tr., old rose box lining and endpapers, green glossy paper cover and spine cons. In a morocco folder of the same color with gilt paper bands and inside in the same box (spine slightly darkened) and slipcase in the same lined paper. Original edition illustrated with 39 black engravings: frontispiece and 38 headbands, endpapers or in-text (the one on p. 129 is reproduced on the front cover). The plates were scratched after printing. Limited edition of 412 numbered copies, including 12 uncut, on strong Lafuma-Navarre vellum, one of 400 placed on the market (no. 210).
