THEATRE - Sarah BERNHARDT / Interesting dossier on tragedienne Sarah Bernhardt, comprising correspondence from Swiss writer Ellen REIBOLD de LA TOUR (1882-1986, socialite, lady-in-waiting to Princess Henriette of Belgium, Duchesse de Vendôme), to playwright Pierre SABATIER (d'Espeyran, 1892-1989), 3 letters from the 1970s (dense, 4 p in-4 and 2 p in-8, plus 11 p in-4 copy of her 1922 diary: after hearing Pierre Sabatier's lecture on Sarah Bernhardt, Ellen exchanges her memories of Sarah, recounting in detail the various times she met her / Enclosed: magazine with Clairin's famous painting on the cover, which Ellen commented "I saw this famous portrait of the illustrious tragedienne when I went to check on her at 56 Bld Pereire about two months before her death".
