Buisseret, Louis ; Kersters, F.

2 posters. Early 20th c. Chromolith, vellum. 1. Buisseret, Louis - Carnaval de Binche. Bruxelles, Publigrafi, post 1919. 100 x 61 cm, monogrammed and dated 1910 in the right-hand corner (creases, several reinforcements on verso). Beautiful and famous colored poster created in 1910 and reused several times: here with the words "Société nationale des chemins de fer belge" printed in blue in the upper part and exempted from stamps by a 1919 law. Binchois L. Buisseret (1888-1956) created several posters for his home town, of which this is the best known. - 2. Kersters, F. - Read the People. S.l., s.n., [c. 1930]. 73 x 100 cm, signed in the fold; 2 tax stamps (slight creases, slightly creased edges, a few reinforcements on verso). Beautiful Art Deco poster with industrial landscape background. A socialist trade-union daily, "Le Peuple" published its first issue on December 13, 1885 and ceased publication definitively in March 1998; many socialist personalities contributed, including Jan Volders, César De Paepe, Auguste De Winne and others. By an apparently little-known artist.
