Amygdaloid layered agate seal. Late Minoan - Late Helladic, ca. 1450 - 1050 B.C. L with hanger 2.9cm, W max. 1.1cm. Made of red and white layered agate. Amygdaloid with vertical hole. Griffin or bird (?) with outstretched wings. With modern hanger made of gold wire! Tiny missing fragments at the drilled holes. Provenance: Ex collection J.K.-E., Hesse, acquired 1986 from Thomas Heneage & Co., London.
