THIRIAR, James Menu. The Victory Feast. Early 20th c Black ink, 22,4 x 14,7 cm, wove paper, signed and titled. Under passe-partout and frame. James Thiriar (1889-1965) was a Belgian artist who participated in World War I, where he made abundant drawings of the daily life of soldiers. This drawing, probably made after the Allies' victory, represents a soldier tasting dishes offered by men of different regions and eras.
