VAN CRAESBEECK, Joos (attributed to) A group of peasants dancing to bagpipes. 17th c Brown ink, 22,6 x 18,7 cm, laid paper, monogram (?) (traces of former mount on verso). Good condition. Hinged at upper edges. Under passe-partout. The Bruegel dynasty played a major role in the dissemination of this subject. A similar drawing by Van Craesbeeck (c. 1605-1661) is in Hamburg (Hamburger Kunsthalle, inv. 21815). Prov. Étienne dit Auguste Desperet (1804-1865), French engraver (stamp, L.721). - Singer Memorial Foundation, Laren (label). - Amsterdam, Sotheby's, 14.11.2006, lot 110 (as Joos van Craesbeeck).
