Jean ROYERE (1902-1981)

Three-seater sofa, orange model, circa 1940. Ash structure, with back and seat cushions entirely covered in orange imitation leather. Resting on four oak clog-style legs. H.: 77 cm. - L.: 203 cm. - D.: 88 cm. Wear, scratches and discoloration; Restorations and stains. Provenance: Acquired by Mr. L. (architect and friend of Jean Royère), then by descent. Originally, the upholstery was striped in ecru and orange, as shown in the photo of the painting by Simone Pillet.
