An officer's sabre

dating: 19th Century provenance: Solingen, Curved, single-and short false-edged blade, with fuller for a good part of its length, with remains of trophy and floral engravings at the forte, marked "P. KNECHT / SOLINGEN" at the tang. Brass hilt with three loop-guards. Grip with long cap. Leather cover with remains of brass wire binding. Without scabbard.
