A pair of cased target percussion pistols
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Vienna, Long, rifled, browned, octagonal, 9 mm cal. barrels, the bases engraved with floral motifs, mark of the Liège test bench on the left side, precision foresight. Tangs engraved with floral motifs and with adjustable rear sight. Backward spring locks finely engraved with floral motifs. Wooden, half stocks with fore-end cap carved in racemes, butts with grooves. Iron mounts engraved en suite with the lock, trigger guards with finger support, butt-plates ending in a whirligig. Trigger and set trigger (one needs revision). Kept in its original wooden case covered in green cloth and stamped in gold "GEBRUDER MAURER WIEN". Complete with all tools and key.
