A rare and interesting pair of target pistols by Anton Bauman, converted to percussion

dating: circa 1800 provenance: Monaco di Baviera, Rifled, octagonal, browned, 12 mm cal barrels (clean bores, clearly visible rifling), signed "Ant. Bauman" and "München" in silver, with slightly bell-mouthed nozzles and silver foresights; tangs engraved with floral motifs and with rear sight; locks converted to percussion engraved with the signature "Anton Bauman in München" on the edges. Wooden full stocks with knurled butts, brass mounts, trigger guard with finger supports. Set trigger. The mechanism of one pistol is working, the other one's needs revision. Horn-tipped, wooden ramrod. Both pistols with wooden butt plates, iron mounts, butt plates with a compartment for shots.
