An interesting pair of percussion pocket pistols by F. Weiland
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Kassel, Octagonal, rifled, damask, 10 mm cal barrels (bore needs cleaning, visible rifling) signed "F. WEILAND IN CASSEL" in gold with silver frame, engraved bases, foresight; engraved tangs with sight; forward spring locks signed "F. Weiland" and "in Cassel", engraved with floral motifs, safety lock. Half wooden stocks with fore-end caps sculpted with a mask, the butts with floral motifs in bas-relief. Yellow metal mounts decorated en suite. Set trigger. Originally designed for a cased set, without ramrod. Working mechanism, one set trigger needs to be adjusted.
