An interesting pair of percussion pistols by V. Ciampa, with safety lock
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Parigi, Smoothbore, two-stage, 17 mm cal barrels, octagonal at the first part with two marks 'SD' and 'A PARIS' between crosses, fleurs-de-lis and stars, then round after a ring and leaves; wide and long engraved tangs. Backwards spring locks signed "V. Ciampa" and decorated with floral engravings, one restoration hammer with missing screw. Wooden full stocks with knurled butts, iron trigger guards engraved with floral motifs, with a long pressure safety lock behind. Brass butt plate with engraved drum. Wooden ramrods with metal cartridge extractor. Interesting safety system.
