A pair of percussion pistols by Zanatta

dating: Second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Torino, Octagonal, micro-rifled, 16 mm cal barrels (bore with pitting, still visible rifling), slightly bell-mouthed nozzle, front sight. Slightly engraved tangs with rear sight. Forward spring locks, flat plates signed "Zanatta Torino". Wooden stocks (defects) with micro-knurled butts. Iron mounts engraved with floral motifs, counterplates decorated with animal motifs. Triggers with set trigger. Brass-tipped, wooden ramrods. Working mechanism.
