A pair of percussion pistols by Pirmet and Kuchenreuther

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Parigi, Octagonal, smoothbore, 12 mm cal barrels from earlier period, the base with front sight, brass-inlaid marks (one still shows the typical Kuchenreuther dynasty horse), one barrel featuring the silver signature "ANDR. KUCHENREUTER" among garlands and the other one with the signature "A. REGENSPURG" featuring the same decoration, brass front sights; tangs marked "1" and "2". Forward spring locks signed "Pirmet à Paris". Wooden full stocks with knurled butts and octagonal butt plates, smooth iron mounts, the trigger guards with two holes (probably to fix a finger support). Triggers with set trigger. Working mechanism, one set trigger does not hold the position, needs to be fixed. Horn-tipped, wooden ramrod with brass cartridge extractor.
