A rare Venditti lever action pistol
dating: 1875 - 1879 provenance: Italia, Faceted, rifled, center-fire barrel (clean bore, still visible rifling), in one piece with the tubular receiver, marked "VENDITTI & C.I LANCUSI" on the back among florals, provided with foresight, 9 mm cal at the nozzle. The front segment of the barrel and the receiver rotates to fit ammunitions. Frame made of German-silver coloured metal, finely engraved with racemes and two flower-shaped rosettes, the central iron plates decorated en suite. Lever trigger guard with ring. Handle with knurled wooden grips. Faceted butt plate complete with ring for the strap. Working yet hard mechanism, needs oiling.
