A pair of percussion target pistols

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Francia, Octagonal, rifled, 11.4 mm cal barrels (bore needs cleaning, visible rifling), consisting of fluted and engraved sectors, remains of a signature, precision front sight. Tangs engraved with floral motifs and provided with rear sight. Forward percussion spring locks, flat plates decorated with raceme engravings, lowered tangs. Half wooden stocks with carved fore-end caps and butts: the former with floral motifs and the latter also with grooves. Iron mounts engraved en suite with the locks, trigger guards with finger rests, prolonged butt plates with whirligig-shaped ends. Triggers with set trigger. Working mechanism, but needs revision.
