A rare pair of double-barreled flintlock pistols by Boiron

dating: circa 1700 provenance: Francia, Smoothbore, round, 13 mm cal. barrels, with square breech, decorated with rings at the base; tangs engraved with floral motifs; long flintlocks signed "BOIRON A SEDAN" and engraved en suite; briarwood, full stocks with iron mounts, grooved trigger guards; grotesque masks at the butt-plates. Light-horn-tipped wooden ramrod.
