A pair of cased flintlock pistols by Fowler

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Dublino, Octagonal, 13 mm cal barrels, browning with damascus pattern, with rear sight and foresight, with deep, gold-lined mark "THOMAS FOWLER DUBLIN" at the base; engraved tangs. Engraved flintlocks signed "FOWLER" and provided with anti-friction and sealing systems, gold-lined vents and pans; walnut three-quarter stocks with knurled grips, engraved trigger guards, provided with finger rests, spur trigger, engraved silver butt plates signed "Christopher Clarke". The side plates (for the barrel wedge) marked "AN.Y Clarce". Back straps with silver shield engraved with a bird. Brass-tipped wooden ramrods. In wooden stock re-lined in light blue velvet and provided with various tools and key.
