A flintlock travel pistol

dating: 18th Century provenance: Europa, Smoothbore, two-stage, octagonal and round barrel with scroll-shaped carvings at the first segment, rings at the girdle, pitting, 12.6 mm cal at the nozzle. Lock with flat plate and rebated margin, hammer carved with floral motifs and rocaille on the hammer throw. Working mechanism, the spring is a bit worn. Wooden full stock with and old restoration at the front segment and other restorations. Various filigree inlaying depicting scrolls and curls. Iron mounts decorated with floral and rocaille motifs in relief. Some signs of time. Brass-tipped, wooden ramrod.
