A very rare powder flask

dating: late 16th Century provenance: Sassonia, Round, convex, wooden body, flat at the back, worked with concentric rings. The rear part featuring a bone rosette carved as a flower at the center. The front with a convex, silver medallion featuring the Saxon royal coat of arms. Fuse with iron spring lock and two iron suspension rings.
