A Greener Rook rifle
dating: about 1880 provenance: Inghilterra, Rifled, octagonal barrel, provided with rear sight featuring two leaves for "50" and "100" yards, signed "W.W. GREENER 68 HAYMARKET LONDON" on the back, with marks of the Birmingham test bench at the bottom, 38 cal at te nozzle. Clean bore, visible rifling, small signs of use. Frame and receiver in one piece. Working mechanism. Knurled, wooden butt and fore-end. Iron mounts with few pitting. The lever to unlock the receiver is on the right side. Remains of antique finishing.
