A Woodward & Sons Rook rifle dating: about 1880 provenance: Inghilterra, Octagonal, rifled barrel, provided with rear sight featuring two leaves marked "50" and "100", signed "JAMES WOODWARD & SONS / 64 ST. JAMES'S LONDON S.W.", and marked "300." (probably the calibre). A knurled decoration at the back. Clean bore, visible rifling, automatic extractor at the breech. Frame and receiver in one piece. Working mechanism. Knurled, wooden butt and fore-end. Iron mounts with light pitting. The lever to unlock the receiver is on the right side. Keeping part of the antique finishing.
