An 1851 model federal percussion carbine with bayonet
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: St. Gallen, Round, rifled barrel (bore needs cleaning, visible rifling), signed at the base "I. U. BANZIGER", adjustable rear sight, foresight and club guide for the bayonet, 10 mm cal. at the nozzle. Forward spring lock marked "ST. GALLEN" and with mark "HF" under crown. Wooden, full stock with a few woodworm holes. Iron mounts, trigger guard with finger support, set trigger. Working mechanism. Iron ramrod. Bayonet with mark "LM" (length 61 cm.).
