A fine hunting socket bayonet

dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Italia meridionale, Straight, single-and false-edged blade with deep, engraved, central groove. The back, below the false edge, is carved and engraved with a pierced eye featuring a brass necklace below. Tang carved and engraved with a dragon and decorated with floral motifs. Brass shoulder and socket, the socket finely engraved with floral motifs.
