Description
An 1854/I model Lorenz infantry percussion rifle with bayonet
dating: 1857 provenance: Austria, Round, rifled, 13.9 mm cal barrel (clean bore, visible rifling), with octagonal base marked "34. 6C 126", the mark "E", a double-headed eagle and featuring a barely legible signature, probably "HETZENBERGER" ?, fixed rear sight and front sight. Forward spring lock dated "857" and with imperial mark. Wooden full stock with iron mounts and ramrod. Complete with its bayonet, handle with marks including "11. G. 1." and "543".
