A crossbow with its jack and bone decorations
dating: Late 16th Century provenance: Germania, Steel bow complete with cord. German-style wooden tiller. The back and the lower side covered with bone plates engraved with decorative plates and geometrical patterns; bone nut, iron handle, iron ring-shaped tip. The back with two lugs to stop the cord of the jack. Together with its iron jack provided with a solid, toothed shaft provided with a deep mark, and a lever with wooden handle. Small missing parts. A fine ensemble.
