Tabriz NW Persia, c. 1970. Extra-fine weave. The yellow central field is dominated by an elegant flower medallion with 8 attached vase cartouches in alternating shades, flanked by densely placed blossom and vine decoration. The stylish red main border is decoratively covered with 16 alternating vases and filigree flowering branches and forms a striking frame. In very good condition. 205 cm diameter (diameter ft. 6.8).
