Description
A rare flail
dating: 16th/17th Century provenance: Germania, Fig-shaped, faceted head with remains of geometric carvings. The head is attached with a chain consisting of ten carved segments on the shaft with a movable stirrup pin. Cylindrical shaft, the handle is slightly enlarged and featuring sphere-shaped ends, the inner one carved en suite with the head, the other one is pierced.
