A "bastard" sword dating: about 1580 provenance: Germania, Wide, straight, double-edged blade with double groove featuring two marks of the Passau wolf. Iron hilt with flat, ribbed quillons, slightly bent towards the blade and with small buttons at the ends. Oval parry ring, the back with a small loop. Pommel carved with coils and featuring a narrow shoulder. Wooden handle with leather covering (a modern restoration).
