An interesting composite sword

dating: 16th - 19th Century provenance: Italia, Straight, double-edged blade ribbed at the center, with tang (19th century). Fine iron hilt with quillon featuring very curved (almost forming a circle) quillons provided with sphere-shaped, buttoned head. The pommel worked en suite. Faceted, ebony handle without wire binding and provided with pierced ring-nuts a the edges and with festooned border.
