dating: about 1660 provenance: Inghilterra, Slight, smooth skull with medium-high, twisted comb, pointed visor with wide eye-slot, ventail ribber at the centre with air holes. Bevor, two neckguard plate and two nape-guard plate. All elements (apart from the skull) with undulated borders. Visor with opening pin, beavor and ventail with closing hook.

A helmet in the style of the riflemen on horseback, dated 1916 Assembled from old and new parts. Bright steel skull (small dents) with iron mountings and fittings, multi-piece, riveted neck guard, stamped "Lachmann Berlin 16" in the crown of the skull. Stamped iron dragoon eagle. Smooth, firm point on a pointed oval base with four round-headed screws. Leather chinstrap on button 91, a lacquered sheet iron cockade (later replaced). Brown leather flap lining (small defects, traces of glue), the front peak painted green at the bottom and the neck peak painted black at the bottom (rubbed). Slightly damaged in places, signs of age.
